A twisted game. Two performers experiment with a unique form of restraint. Exploring a forced connection, they discover what transpires as different body parts are roughly strapped together. Dragging and throwing each other through the performance space, the initial fun of being fastened to one another gradually gives way to a feeling of annoyance from being stuck to each other for such an extended period of time.
The sticks has been performed in both traditional theatre spaces and also in public spaces such as the Esplanade of the Place des Arts (as part of The Art II presented by 2e Porte a Gauche) and the Place des Arts hallways (as part of pas de danse pas de vie presented by Regroupement Quebecois de la Danse).Original contemporary music score by Olivier Maranda and Emelie Girard Charest.
Choreography: Andrew Tay
